Icon Systems, Inc. is a privately owned
firm located in Moorhead, MN. In 1992, Bob Gifford founded Icon
Systems after a stellar software engineering career as the Senior
Vice President of Research and Development at Great Plains Software,
now owned by Microsoft Corporation. In this capacity, Bob guided
the development of the Great Plains Accounting Series, development
platform - Dexterity - and the new graphical financial suite
- Dynamics.
Icon Systems is grounded in a rich heritage of values. Innovation,
quality, and a tireless commitment to serving customers drives
the company and its employees everyday.
Icon Systems was established with a mission to "assist churches
to manage information with the use of technology." The first
product manifestation of this mission was delivered in 1993
with the first version of Revelations church management software.
In 1994, Icon Systems established its first major distribution
agreement with Augsburg Fortress Publishers to represent the
Revelations product.
Also in 1994, Icon Systems participated in the industry's first
Christian Computer Software Comparison, and Revelations began
its reputation as an award-winning product.
In 1999, a special version of Revelations was released for the
ELCA synods to accommodate the data aggregation and communications
for an extensive network of churches.
In 2001, Icon Systems released its first Internet application
in the church management category, and began laying the groundwork
for IconCMO in 2002.
IconCMO debuted in Christian Computing Magazine in the summer
of 2003 under the code name "BeAtChurch", and was fully launched
to market in the fall of 2003. |
