The Envelope Maintenance window allows you to keep track of all your envelope numbers and who appears in the finance section. There are some very big benefits of having a separate window to maintain all your envelope numbers.

1) You can track envelope numbers for different years. If the church re-assigns envelope numbers each year the next year envelope numbers can be prepared without affecting the current year.

2) Envelope numbers can be assigned to both Households and Members. If a Husband and Wife are giving together the envelope would be assigned to the Household. A son or daughter might also want to contribute separately. This gives the ability to define the children and/or other members of the household with a separate number.

3) The history of envelopes is not lost each year. By switching to a previous year the system will display what each household/member envelope number was for that year.

4) The Auto Assign #'s button offers the ability to quickly reassign envelope numbers alphabetically.
