In observance of Memorial Day Icon Systems will be closed.   Memorial Day dates back to 1864, where as the story goes two ladies wanted to honor their father who had served as a surgeon during the civil war.  They decorated his grave with flowers.  While decorating they ran into a woman who was placing flowers on her sons grave who had fallen in the battle of Gettysburg.  They got to talking, sharing memories of their loved ones.  The three agreed to meet again the following year and not only decorate their loved ones grave but all the fallen soldiers graves.  It was in their act that inspired the poet Henry Wadsworths “Decoration Day”

Your silent tents of green

We deck with fragrant flowers:

Yours has the suffering been,

The memory shall be ours.
