1. Can IconCMO church software accomodate online donations?

Yes. We have two main payment processors that we integrate with. The payment processors can handle recurring gifts and bring that data into IconCMO. Additionally, churches can use a file import method to bring data into the contribution module from other payment processors they use.

2. Can IconCMO church software process and track pledges?

Yes. IconCMO can handle pledges for multiple funds, any date range, multi-year and various giving frequencies. The statements can be printed with or without pledge information.

3. Can IconCMO church software provide historical statements when needed?

Yes. All giving information is retained, thus allowing churches to pull historical donation statements at any time.

4. Can contribution statements be emailed?

Yes. IconCMO can email statements and attach a PDF file to the email for the donor to open and print at their convenience, or even forward to their CPA. The system can also print statements and labels for mailing statements via postal delivery.

5. Is IconCMO a true web-based system?

Yes. Unlike many software packages, IconCMO was developed (1999 - 2002) from the ground up to work on the web. It is a pure SaaS (Software as a Service) system where we update the software so your church doesn't have to. All you need is a web browser and an Internet connection. In other words, you could be sipping on your favorite blend at the local coffee shop while updating your church membership records, recording contributions or entering accounting transactions.

6. Is training provided?

We understand there's a lot to learn when bringing in a new system. That's why we've developed several in-depth "getting started" guides for each area of the system, and all users should read these before they begin using IconCMO. Topics include Browser Settings, Membership setup, Contributions setup, Fund Accounting setup, Payroll setup, Processing the first payroll, Contribution yearend processing and Accounting yearend processing. Additionally, we have a full software manual and recorded training webinar videos which cover each section of IconCMO.

7. Is support included with IconCMO?

8. Are there custom reports in addition to the built-in reports?

Yes. All reports can be output to a PDF file and most can also be exported in Excel or HTML format.

9. Can we have multiple users logged in without any limitation?

Absolutely. While many packages have a maximum number of simultaneous users logged in at one time, we don't have any such requirements. We have churches that are logged in with 10 - 20 users every day at the same time, and there's no extra charge for doing so.

10. Can we customize the system?

There are many areas of the system that are customizable, such as groups, talents, and attendance names. Other lists that can be customized include status codes, phone and email types, relationships, gender, and milestones.

11. Can IconCMO church software manage small groups?

Yes. You can set up small groups and take attendance on them for activities such as Sunday School, VBS and other classes. You can also communicate to group members or their parents, and even send group text messages for events, emergencies, etc.

12. What is included in the subscription price of the software?

The price includes all modules except payroll (additional $275/year), along with technical support via phone or email, SSL connection, software upgrades, online forum for enhancement or questions, and backups done by Icon Systems.

13. Can access be granted to various users based on what they should be allowed to view and/or change?

Yes. User accounts can be created and configured to grant user-specific permissions for each account. Permission levels include the typical Read, Read/Write, and No Access levels to screens.

14. Does IconCMO do cash-based or accrual-based fund accounting?

Both. IconCMO can do either one of these but we recommend the organization choose the one they want to use for their church accounting system.

15. Does IconCMO follow FASB 95 and 117 reporting regulations?

Yes. Many accounting packages on the market for non-profits do NOT follow this guideline, and it is an important question to ask when evaluating fund accounting software.

16. How are software and hardware updates handled?

Icon Systems handles all updates, including hardware and software.

17. Are there any hardware requirements for my computer?

No. The organization only has to provide a computer (PC, MAC, Linux, etc), Internet connection, and a browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Chrome).
